light is a wave
but also
light is a particle
but...
it can’t be both? since waves & particles by their definition are mutually exclusive
a wave is something that moves on or through a substance at many points at one time
a particle doesn’t have to move through anything, & is measured at only one place in time
SO
despite being mutually exclusive - light can be observed as either
depending on how you look at it!
